Father son charging

This section is for active members who are currently paying into the scheme.

Every year, around September, you will get a benefit statement showing the current value of your pension, life cover and tax limits, plus a forecast of your retirement income. Use this statement to keep an eye on your pension and make sure your retirement plans are on track.

You can also register/log in to myESPS and view your personal E.ON UK pension details whenever and wherever it's convenient for you!

Your scheme membership is a very cost-efficient way of saving for retirement, and includes a wide range of benefits and options. Here’s a quick overview of what’s on offer:

  • Firstly, you’re not paying into your E.ON UK pension alone. Your employer pays in too and you get tax relief on your contributions.

  • You can save extra with additional contributions if you want to.

  • An ill health pension is available if you get too sick to work, plus you have life cover in the form of a tax-free lump sum if you die before retirement. (Your dependants may also be eligible for a pension, depending on your membership category).

  • Your dependants may be eligible for a pension if you die at any age, or you can give up some of your pension to provide an extra pension for your dependants.

  • When you retire, you get a pension which is paid for the rest of your life, and rises every year in line with inflation. You may also get a tax-free cash lump sum or the choice to exchange some of your pension for a tax-free cash sum.
