Two new sets of guidance have been produced to provide support for pension savers in the times of financial uncertainty caused by the Covid-19 outbreak.
Understand how your pension savings are protected and supported
“COVID-19 and your pension” has been published, to equip pension savers with the knowledge and support they need to make informed decisions about their pension.
Pension industry bodies including the Pension Protection Fund, the Financial Services Compensation Scheme, Money and Pensions Service, the Pensions Ombudsman, the Pensions Regulator and the Financial Conduct Authority have come together to help scheme members understand how their pension savings are protected and supported at this moment in time.
The guide outlines the protections that are in place for savers, how individuals can avoid scams during the Coronavirus pandemic and useful information about where to seek free, impartial guidance should they have any further questions.
